This class is designed for people 55+, people who are absolute beginners and people who are just coming off injury and aren’t quite ready for the unsupervised gym environment.
The class combines elements of balance, strength, mobility and stability to enhance your ability to function in day to day life.
The programming is designed to make everyday tasks seem easier and therefore will include movements such as squatting, lunging, twisting, bending, pushing and pulling. We will also include mobility exercises for wrists and ankles and will definitely find ways to make your spine feel more stable.
Don’t worry, all the exercises can be scaled for any level and because it is run by the physiotherapist – modifications can be made for those who may have special considerations from joint replacements or significant muscle tears.
Although you may feel this is outside of your comfort zone you can be sure that what you are doing is safe and exactly what you need in order to live your best life!
